(by the way, speaking of Chaminade university, it turns out that Heisman winning Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota attended the "prestigious" St. Louis High School in Honolulu which is adjacent to Chaminade University and is also Catholic. I remember seeing younger people in the area when I was at Chaminade but at the time didn't realize that St. Louis School was right next to us. President Obama attended the rival of St. Louis, the Punahou School )
"...at his alma mater, Mariota fever has returned 3 /
years after he led the Crusaders to the state title in his
final year at the all-boys Marianist school. Saint
Louis, with 550 students from 6th through 12th
grades, shares its campus with Chaminade University
in the Kalaepohaku neighborhood of Honolulu, a
couple miles north of Waikiki Beach.
On the day of the Heisman ceremony, more than 600
students and alums showed up to watch the live
broadcast on the movie screen at the school's Mamiya
Theater.
The Mariota family has told school administrators
they would like to display the trophy on the Saint
Louis campus."
